07.06.2022

As part of its mission to raise awareness and train professionals in the specifics of the Cognac appellation, the BNIC is organising and participating in its annual series of events for professionals. During the month of June, the Cognac sector will be represented at the Cocktails Spirits trade fair in Paris and at Bar Convent Brooklyn in New York. COCKTAILS SPIRITS: 12 & 13 JUNE AT THE PALAIS DE TOKYO IN PARIS

Present at Cocktails Spirits since the event began, the Cognac appellation will host a dedicated exhibitor’s space at this year’s 14th edition on 12 and 13 June. Several cocktails will be specially prepared by two talented bartenders: Roxanne Romery from the “1838” bar at Chais Monnet in Cognac and Céline Lopez from Le Fridge in Paris. They will showcase some twenty Cognacs, available for the French and European professionals to taste. This event will illustrate the work of a new generation of mixologists, in search of authenticity and new flavours, who passionately explore the wealth of Cognac aromas.

COGNAC DATING: 13 JUNE 2022 AT LES ABATTOIRS IN COGNAC

The BNIC is organising the fifth edition of its Cognac Dating event on 13 June. It brings together members of a network of “ambassador” establishments (cafés, bars, hotels, restaurants, wine retailers) in the production region, selected for the quality of their Cognac, and around forty Cognac brands. This year, Cognac Dating will also be open to some hundred or so French sommeliers, gathered in Cognac for their annual Fête de la Sommellerie. All guests will be invited to taste over 120 different Cognacs and discover the many ways in which it can be consumed: neat, in cocktails or even paired with food.

BAR CONVENT BROOKLYN: 14 & 15 JUNE IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK

A dozen Cognac brands will be exhibiting at Bar Convent Brooklyn on 14 and 15 June in New York, alongside the BNIC, which is conducting a major campaign to promote the category in the United States. Founded in Berlin in 2018, this event expanded to New York the same year and has since become one of the most renowned trade fairs in the world. The Cognac appellation will be hosting two bars and a stand to promote this fashionable, cosmopolitan “Made in France” spirit. Tastings, cocktails and new trends are on the agenda and will be presented by world-famous experts. This event is geared towards international bartenders who gather each year to share their practices and expand their knowledge of spirits and other beverages.
