The guests will be taken into the world of Cognac through different tasting moments, and they will discover the stages of Cognac production through the 24 solar periods of the traditional Chinese calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Lionel Lalag\u00fce, director of public and international affairs for the Cognac appellation at the BNIC, will join the event by videoconference, live from Cognac.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20657 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cognac.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/ig-chine-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"504\" height=\"298\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20650 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cognac.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/Images.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"334\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On 18 December 2009, the Chinese authorities of the former AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) officially recognized Cognac as the first foreign Geographical Indication (GI). In February 2023, thirteen years later, Cognac is a must-have spirit for Chinese consumers who appreciate it for its high quality, its aromatic diversity and its image as a product of excellence and a symbol of the French art of living.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">ABOUT THE BNIC<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The BNIC, or Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac, represents, develops and preserves the Cognac AOC (<em>Appellation d\u2019origine contr\u00f4l\u00e9e<\/em>), both in France and abroad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In the 150+ countries where Cognac is sold, this Geographical Indication provides consumers with a guarantee that they are buying an outstanding wine spirit.
