Cognac announces the reopening of its tourist areas to visitors<\/h1>\n

Cognac has announced the collective reopening of tours to its production houses from Tuesday 23 June.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The winegrowers who are developing and running discovery activities around Cognac are also welcoming people back. This set of Cognac offers is one of the main attractions of tourism in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with 10 million visits to the regional vineyards in 2018*, including 1.3 million to the vineyards of the Charentes. This collective reopening aims to contribute to the revitalisation of the tourist industry in the region and to support the local economy by allowing bars, shops, restaurants and other tourist areas to benefit from the return of visitors.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

By reopening its cellars and visiting areas, the Cognac industry invites the Nouvelle-Aquitaine residents and all French citizens to come and meet the people who produce one of the most famous French spirits in the world: Cognac. A symbol of viticultural know-how and a benchmark of French gastronomy around the world, Cognac will be of interest to all guests who are keen to favour regional tourism this summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Taste experiences, stages of production, visits to houses, vineyards, distilleries… Visitors will be able to discover a variety of unique and specific activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

For this reopening, new measures have been implemented to ensure the safety and health of travellers and to guarantee them an enjoyable journey. A guide to good health practices drawn up collectively will be distributed to all involved in Cognac tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n

This collective impetus will also contribute to the resumption of activity by other professionals in the area (restaurants, bars, accommodation, cultural and leisure activities).<\/span> It is a result of the in-depth work initiated by the Cognac sector alongside its institutional partners to enhance the value and influence of the destination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
